GS1 Palestinian Barcode System
Newsoft Software, in cooperation with the Palestinian Federation of Industries, developed the GS1 Palestinian barcode system to serve the Palestinian Numbering Authority. The system was programmed to serve all national industrial, commercial, and service sectors. Users—companies and factories that produce and export goods—will request barcodes from the Palestinian Numbering Authority, along with all administrative and financial procedures, and track all system-related processes. All national industrial sectors will access the system to request the Palestinian barcode and track all related transactions.
The Palestinian numbering system will be implemented through the Palestinian Numbering Authority, which will undertake to raise awareness among companies of the importance of applying international coding standards. It will also develop supply and demand markets for the national industrial, commercial, and service sectors to keep pace with global market requirements through the implementation of the GS1 System, and to raise the performance level of various operations in production, storage, distribution, and sales.
